Welcome to Language Funatics, around since 2020!
Language FUNatics is a creative Kulturverein, located in Vienna.
We make plays and theatreshows with and for children and teenagers (7 - 15 yrs). At the end of our project or camp week they will perform their show in front of an audience of family and friends.
Our structure is both pedagogic and FUN. Our motto is "Learn Through Laughter. Learn Through Play".

How we are doing it?
We mix drama with learning to create a lively and engaging space that sparks creativity and growth.

Our team comprises mainly of Native English speakers and creatives.
We do theatre project weeks: 5 days, 20-25 hours workshops & summer project weeks.

WORKSHOPS & COURSES
Theatre or Film Project Week
We offer a fully immersive 5 day (Mon-Fri) Theatre or Film experience:
Theatre includes a stage with background, red curtains and typical atmosphere. We do character creation, rehearsals and the final performance. Plus! The actors/actresses will get to work with theatre professionals.The end show can be filmed and a copy sent to you,
Film includes a variety of camera angle studies, story-boarding, how to edit a film, rhythm, shot selection, characters for the silver screen, trailer development.

Summer Camps & Private Events
Our projects are the same for schools as they are for summer camps.
We offer a fully immersive project outline, English theatre for the whole week(s). If the camp is 3 weeks, the programme will be that long.
PLUS: it's a lot of fun!

Meet the Team
Our team comprises of native English speakers, creatives, programme leaders & teachers. We hire out and source excellent teachers for our school and workshop projects: FUNatics approved!
Workshop Leader & Company Director
B.A (Hons) Jack Midgley
Over the course of several years Jack has been leading workshops and other performance based activities all over Europe: France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium!
His main focus is on the development of the child/teens/adults English performance ability: in the fields of language excellence, confidence building & theatrical storytelling.
One of his main mottoes is "Be proud of what you do, you don't want to show an audience something you're not proud of. That doesn't mean being pridful! It means doing the work and getting the rewards." That motto functions in all areas of life- both as a student and as an adult teacher.
Jack teachers both as a Native Speaker in Austrian schools and as a workshop leader in our very own Language FUNatic programmes.
When you work with us, there's no middle men. We're direct. We care about what we do: this is both exhibited in our managment of projects and our high expectation end-show results.

Susanne Greiner MSc.
Ich bin für alle Bereiche der Schauspielleitung verantwortlich, betreue unsere Jungstars bei der Stück- und Rollenentwicklung und stelle sicher, dass auf der Bühne alle eine gute Figur machen.
Nach jahrelangen Erfahrungen auf und hinter verschiedener Theaterbühnen haben Jack und ich Language FUNatics gegründet. Seit 2020 ist viel passiert und wir durften schon unzählige Kindertheater Premieren feiern. Es ist mir eine große Freude die "Magie des Theaters" in die Herzen zu bringen und gemeinsam zu erleben.
Was haben Ihre Kinder zu erzählen?
Die Theaterworkshops von Language FUNatics fördern das Selbstbewusstsein, untersuchen unterschiedliche Charaktere und bieten Themen die Kinder beschäftigen eine Bühne.
